Nutley Antiques, founded 20 years ago and situated on the A22 in the centre of the village, is a treasure-trove for antique-hunters, home-makers, and browsers; where unique and interesting items are displayed over two floors.
We are renowned for our selection of country-style furniture, from huge dressers and cupboards in painted finishes - many of which are offered in their original painted form - to the smallest of items including boxes and other interesting wooden objects. In fact we offer most items of furniture: chairs, cupboards (large and small), chests of drawers and wardrobes.
Curtains, cushions, quilts (silk, wool, and cotton), linen, tablecloths, throws, travel-rugs, and vintage material are all available at exceptional prices. We also ofer limited supplies of French and European linen and country-style materials together with tapestry and antique fabric collages. All the pieces are unique and individual.
Nutley Antiques also have a wide variety of Kitchenware, household items, old enamel-ware, jugs and basins, tins, earthware and glass storage jars, pudding bowls, weighing scales, jugs, giant mixing bowls - enough to rival Miss Lawson!
Also, a selection of inexpensive vintage jewelery is usually available for a unique gift, or just to treat yourself...
The shop is manned by a team of friendly antique dealers (we don't do the "hard sell") and so offers something to cater for all tastes - variety is the spice of life!
The Garden: Our customers return to check on our latest "finds" for the garden: unique antique garden benches, chairs and tables - in metal and wood finishes - garden urns, statuary and tools, teracotta pots (often Victorian), wooden planters and barrels too! If you are looking for something unusual and out of the ordinary then pay us a visit.
Nutley Antiques offers something different for everyone; if you are just searching for a small gift we have hand-made hearts of lavender, or country-style wooden ones from pocket-money prices upwards.
Browsers are always welcome. Trade visitors from home and abroad are also given a warm welcome.
Ironmongery from our Blacksmith, Dan Tester: Dan is a local Blacksmith and we are showcasing some of his hand-crafted pieces. Most popular at the moment are his hand-made supports in the style of a Shepherd's Crook, suitable for bird-feeders or for hanging baskets or lanterns.
